Welcome to the official website of Runcorn Linnets FC.
We are members of the BetVictor Northern Premier League and were placed in Division One North/West for 2019-20 after the league's Step 4 boundaries were changed. We gained promotion to the League for 2018-19 as Premier Division champions of the Hallmark Security League (North West Counties Football League) on our 12th Birthday (28th April 2018) by securing the minimum of a second place finish in the Hallmark Security League's top flight. We went on to finish four points clear.
We are a registered society under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014 and were formed in the 2006 off-season by the fans of the now defunct Runcorn FC (which was playing under the name "Runcorn FC Halton" at the time). Although when we formed we were technically a "new" club, the Linnets were given special dispensation by the FA to be treated as a reformed version of Runcorn FC - the special dispensation was necessary as the old club had simply become dormant, choosing not to field a team, as opposed to ceasing to exist as a legal entity. We were awarded FA Charter Standard in October 2011.

Connor Smythe received a Yellow Card for Pontefract Collieries FC in the 16th minute. Louis Coyne received a Yellow Card for The Linnets in the 40th minute. Louis Corrigan received a Yellow Card for The Linnets in the 1st minute of added time of the first half. Pontefract Collieries FC went ahead in the 46th minute with a goal from Joe Lumsden. Nick Ryan received a Yellow Card for The Linnets in the 56th minute. In the 67th minute the Linnets substituted Jack Hinnigan for Ronnie McCarthy. In the 68th minute the Linnets substituted Paul Shanley for Connor McCarthy. In the 70th minute Jamie Rainford equalised with a shot from the edge of the 6 yard box. In the 73rd minute Pontefract Collieries FC substituted Scott Brown for Jack Knight. Jameel Ible received a Yellow Card for Pontefract Collieries FC in the 77th minute. In the 78th minute the Linnets substituted Harry Cannon-Noren for Kurt Sherlock. In the 5th minute of added time of the second half Pontefract Collieries FC substituted Michael Dunn for Layton Swaine.

Paul Shanley put the Linnets ahead from from just inside the area in the 4th minute. In the 29th minute the Linnets substituted Zac Aley for Kurt Sherlock. In the 29th minute Warrington were awarded a penalty. Warrington Town pulled level in the 30th minute with a penalty. Warrington Town put one past us in the 52nd minute. Warrington Town increased their lead in the 56th minute with a goal from Josh Amis. In the 59th minute the Linnets substituted Tom Owens for Peter Wylie. In the 59th minute the Linnets substituted Ryan Wade for Ronnie McCarthy. In the 72nd minute the Linnets substituted Ally Brown for Michael Simpson. In the 72nd minute the Linnets substituted Louis Coyne for Nick Ryan. In the 77th minute the Linnets substituted Paul Shanley for A Trialist.
