Welcome to the official website of Runcorn Linnets FC.

We are members of the BetVictor Northern Premier League and were placed in Division One North/West for 2019-20 after the league's Step 4 boundaries were changed. We gained promotion to the League for 2018-19 as Premier Division champions of the Hallmark Security League (North West Counties Football League) on our 12th Birthday (28th April 2018) by securing the minimum of a second place finish in the Hallmark Security League's top flight. We went on to finish four points clear.

We are a registered society under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014 and were formed in the 2006 off-season by the fans of the now defunct Runcorn FC (which was playing under the name "Runcorn FC Halton" at the time). Although when we formed we were technically a "new" club, the Linnets were given special dispensation by the FA to be treated as a reformed version of Runcorn FC - the special dispensation was necessary as the old club had simply become dormant, choosing not to field a team, as opposed to ceasing to exist as a legal entity. We were awarded FA Charter Standard in October 2011.

Head Sports Rehabilitator Luke looks for assistant

Runcorn Linnets have a vacancy in our first-team medical set-up with applications being invited for the role of assistant to the new Head Sports Rehabilitator, Luke Davies.

The position will be predominantly voluntary and would be ideal for a Rehab/Sports Therapy/Physiotherapy student or a graduate, looking to gain experience.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain pitchside experience alongside an experienced practitioner and within a successful non-league football club currently playing at Step 4 of the National League System in the Northern Premier League North West Division.

The successful candidate would be expected to attend as many training sessions and matches as possible, although given the nature of the position there will be room for flexibility around existing commitments and studies.

For more information or to apply for the position (attaching full cv), please eMail [email protected]

Pitch in - and turn yourself into a super Hero!

We have this evening launched our Pitch Heroes scheme as part of the club's commitment to the funding of our new hybrid pitch.

Supporters are being asked to sponsor a section of the state-of-the-art playing surface at The Millbank Linnets Stadium. Each section costs 10 and sponsorship can be taken for a single section or multiple sections.

Contributions will be recognised on a commemorative Pitch Heroes board at the ground while each participant is to receive a special
pin badge.
