Allan originally joined Runcorn Linnets in October 2013, having previously represented Burscough in the Northern Premier League.

He re-joined in August 2015 and is back for his third spell with the Linnets after happily recovering from a serious collar bone injury sustained early in 2015-16 season in a game at 1874 Northwich.

Allan began his career at Southport in the club's youth and reserve teams before progressing into first-team football in the Football Conference with the Sandgrounders.

In 2010, he enjoyed a successful loan spell with Warrington Town under the guidance of Joey Dunn and later that year, signed permanently for them before reuniting with Joey at The Millbank Linnets Stadium.

He is a hard-working and strong-running player who has a good goalscoring record - these attributes prompting Michael Ellison to draft him back into the Millbank squad in August 2016.
