08 Jun 2019 : Ken Reynolds RIP

The club is deeply saddened to hear that former Runcorn AFC player and captain Ken Reynolds passed away last Sunday at the age of 93.

Ken was a long servant of the Linnets in the 1950s and is remembered by supporters from that era as a very talented half back.

Ken was in 1956 awarded a benefit match, which he shared with winger Norman Brown.

Colin has a commemorative testimonial souvenir photograph album celebrating his dad's loyal service, this having been presented to him by the club. On leaving Canal Street, Ken played for Rhyl.

Outside of football, Ken was an architect who managed many high-profile projects in Africa and Asia, bringing him to contact with prominent political leaders.

The funeral is on Friday, June 21st at Walton Lea Crematorium, 2.20pm.
