As fans may have gathered, David Davies has retired his notebook and pen after four years of sterling service as our matchday reporter.
Dave or 'Bill' as many fans know him (because that's the name on his driving school car!) has kept us all highly informed and hugely entertained with his self-styled, detailed and insightful accounts of our games.
His reports have had us all laughing out loud at times while at others jumping for joy or in the depths of despair - all the usual emotions of being a football supporter but very skilfully expressed in Dave's inimitable way.
It has been a labour of love for Dave to keep his fellow fans (particularly those unable to make it to games) fully up to speed with our matches.
But the role has involved a lot of "burning the midnight oil" to honour his commitment as a club volunteer and meet deadlines for publication in the local media.
We are very grateful to Dave for all his hard work.
He can now revert to being a regular home and away spectator without having to concentrate so hard on "who did what".
So thanks very much, Dave for all your efforts and for the way you have reported with such reliability and diligence on our games - what ever the competition, where ever the venue and no matter what the result.
