Globetrotting Will Saxon gets ready to say goodbye

Runcorn Linnets will bid farewell while also saying "bon vogage" to Will Saxon over Christmas.

Boxing Day's Pitching In Northern Premier League game at Bootle will be the livewire winger's final game in the Yellow and Green.

Will is leaving to go travelling before settling in Australia.

Since joining the club from Kidsgrove Athletic at the start of last season, Will has been a breath of fresh air with his exciting wing play, boundless energy and enthusiasm.

His goal celebrations and connection to the fans are legendary and he will be very sorely missed at APEC Taxis Stadium.

We are sad to see Will depart but this is a great opportunity for him to build a new life and we wish him every happiness and success for the future.

Will has passed on his thanks to everyone involved with Linnets in a special goodbye message.

He said: "Linnets fans, I’d like to thank you for all the support over the last few years.

"The chairman, the lads and everyone involved with the club have been quality throughout and it’s been a pleasure to be involved." 💛💚
