Antony Kay has continued his team building for the new season by snapping up teenage centre back Harvey Washington.
The 19-year-old came through the youth system at Crewe Alexandra - representing the Railwaymen at Under 16s, U18s and U21s levels.
6ft 1in tall, the right-footed defender gained useful Northern Premier League experience last season.
He played in our division for Kidsgrove Athletic, after signing in November.
Harvey made an immediate impact, winning Grove's supporters Player of the Month award at the first attempt.
Fans at the time remarked he "was making a difference at the back and has been a calm and relaxed influence who has got an eye for a pass.”
Harvey went on to make 26 appearances with one goal for the Staffs outfit.
He joined Kidsgrove too late for their home fixture against us and didn't feature either in the late-season return match.
Harvey also played twice for Midlands League Premier Division champions, Congleton Town in 2023-24.
Linnets boss Kay said: "Harvey is a tall, agile centre back, who is very good on the ball.
"We are delighted to sign him."
