Naim Arsan arrives from Bala Town

Runcorn Linnets have captured former Welsh C international defender Naim Arsan from JD Cymru Premier outfit Bala Town.

Left back Naim had been with the Lakesiders since June 2022, when he moved from league rivals Newtown.

His 82 competitive appearances brought six goals, mostly from free-kicks.

Naim played for Bala in two European campaigns and was a Welsh League Cup winner in 2022/23 as they defeated Connah’s Quay Nomads on penalties.

He was promptly named Players’ Player of the Season and followed up with the Committee Player of the  Season aware in 2023/24.

Naim previously spent six seasons with Cefn Druids, helping them into Europe in 2018 as winners of the Cymru Premier European Play-Off Final.

The defender was at The New Saints early in career, also serving Conwy Borough and Penycae FC.

Naim has represented Wales at Futsal and in 2018 was in the Wales C Squad beaten 3-2 by England C at Barry's Jenner Park.

He is the second player to reunite with former Bala team-mate Antony Kay since the latter's summer appointment as manager at APEC Taxis Stadium - Luke Wall having been his maiden signing.
