Notice of AGM and Trust Board election update

The Annual General Meeting of Runcorn Linnets Football Club Limited will take place on Monday, December 9th in the MDB Gas Clubhouse at APEC Taxis Stadium, Stockham Lane, Runcorn, WA7 6GJ at 7pm.

This will include the Chairman's Report and presentation of accounts for the year ending June 30th 2024.

The deadline for submission of any member resolutions for the AGM is Monday, November 11th 2024 at 7pm.

These should include name(s) and address(es) of the proposer(s) together with membership number(s) and full details of the resolution.

If membership numbers are not known, please e-mail trust@runcornlinnetsfc.co.uk

Resolutions must be made in writing to Trust Secretary, Runcorn Linnets FC, APEC Taxis Stadium, Stockham Lane, Murdishaw, Runcorn, Cheshire, WA7 5GJ and signed by all proposers.

Only Trust members who were fully paid up on Sunday, October 27th 2024 are eligible to vote on any resolutions at the AGM.

Non members can attend but cannot take any part in the meeting.

As part of an ongoing governance review, recommended and being carried out by the Football Supporters Association, this year's Trust Board election will take place separately from the AGM.

There will be some changes to the way the election is organised and the process will be overseen by an independently-chaired Election Management Group (EMG).

Our Election Policy has been revised and updated accordingly, and we thank Nicola Cave, training and governance manager at the FSA, for her help, support and guidance.

Under the new Election Policy, Trust Board nominations will only be accepted from those who have been a fully paid-up Trust member for 12 months or more.

And in the event of there being equal or fewer candidates to the number of vacancies, applicants will from this year onwards need to be ratified by the membership on a majority of votes cast.

We will not be starting the election process for another couple of weeks but in the meantime, members may wish to consider what benefits and skills they could offer and bring to the Trust Board by standing for election.
