RIP Terry Bratt

The club is deeply saddened to have learned of the death of long-serving former Runcorn AFC kitman Terry Bratt.

Very well known around Canal Street and the national non-league circuit, Terry was an important part of the Linnets' backroom team in the 1980s and '90s.

Over 18 years, he served a succession of managers and was involved behind the scenes in the club's three FA Trophy finals at Wembley in 1986, 1993 and 1994.

Terry was also responsible for maintaining floodlights at the ground while also carrying out various other electrical tasks for the former club.

In addition to his kitman role, he also spent two years as groundsman.

Terry occasionally visited APEC Taxis Stadium for Runcorn Linnets games and to catch up with friends.

Our sympathies and condolences go to Terry's wife Gay and the family.
