At a meeting of the Trust Board last night, the decision was taken to relieve Antony Kay of his duties as first team manager at Runcorn Linnets.
We would like to place on record our appreciation of Antony's professionalism since joining the club at the start of last season as a senior player and then taking on his managerial role in the summer.
Unfortunately, Antony's hard work hasn't produced the performances and results we had hoped for. We wish him well for the future.
The club now begins the process of finding a successor as we prepare for Saturday's visit to Newcastle Town. We will announce interim arrangements when confirmed.
