Right back Joe Ferguson has become the first new signing of the Brad Cooke era.
The 22-year-old arrives from Pitching In Northern Premier League Premier Division club FC United of Manchester for whom he appeared 39 times.
Joe launched his career with Blackburn Rovers from where he was released at the end of 2021-22, after nine league outings on loan at Witton Albion.
He then signed for Matlock Town, without playing competitively for the Derbyshire outfit, before moving to Marine in August 2022.
Joe left College Road in February 2024, after featuring in 31 league games, joining FCUM a short time later.
Manager Brad Cooke said: "Delighted to get Joe in.
"He has huge amount of experience at step 3 and it’s a massive coup for the club.
“I’ve come up against him a few times from my time at Atherton and he always caught my eye.
"He is young, ambitious and extremely talented. He will give us some balance in the full back/wing back area.
"He is a modern-day full back with lots of pace and athleticism with a good end product. He will be a great addition to the group.”
