Trust Board Election nominations are open

Nominations for the Trust Board election are now open and will close on Monday, November 18th 2024.

The Board has decided that this year's election will be for six places to bring the number of directors back up to the maximum of 12.

Five members of the present elected Trust Board are due to retire by rotation in 2024, after serving for the customary two years to seek re-election should they so wish.

They are Ste Bignall, Josh Christian, Jeff Jago, Alan Jones and Sam Phillips.

The remaining six elected directors are scheduled to retire in December 2025 - Peter Cartledge, Bren Connolly, Ian Green, Paul Riley, Paul Tandy and Jack Walsh.

As previously advised and as part of an ongoing governance review recommended and being carried out by the Football Supporters Association, this year's Trust Board election will take place independently of the AGM.

There are also some changes to the way the annual election is being organised and the process will be overseen by an independently-chaired Election Management Group.

As stipulated in our updated Election Policy, which will be in operation from now until the conclusion of the election, applications for the Board are invited from those who have been a fully paid-up Trust Member for 12 months or more.

Only Trust members, who were paid up on Sunday, October 27th 2024 are eligible to vote.

All applicants for membership of the Trust Board should read our revised Election Policy here before applying.

Applications can only be submitted by completing the online nomination form

All applications must be supported by two other fully paid-up Trust members as of October 27th 2024. Those nominating the candidates will be contacted by e-mail and asked to confirm their support.

Voting in the election will be by way of a secure electronic polling system, although voting papers will be made available on request.

The result of the independently-verified count will be announced to members as soon as possible but a minimum of 24 hours before the AGM.

In the event of there being an equal number or fewer applicants than the number of vacancies, members will be asked to ratify each candidate and those candidates obtaining approval by a majority of votes cast will be elected.

This notice was emailed to members on Friday, November 8th. If any Trust member did not receive it, could they please email trust@runcornlinnetsfc.co.uk
