Under 21s marksman Lewis Crane promoted to Linnets' senior squad

Teenage striker Lewis Crane steps up to join the first-team squad for today's Northern Premier League West game at home to Chasetown.

The 17-year-old centre forward has scored eight goals in six appearances this season for our Under 21s side.

Lew netted twice last time out in the North West U21s Development League against Steven Gerrard Academy, the first being a 20-yard free-kick.

He is the cousin of fellow Linnets forward Adam Moseley, who likewise graduated through our youth system.

Lew is also registered with Runcorn Town, scoring two in 13 appearances -including five starts - for the North West Counties League club.
